MANUFACTURING SCOPE

From requirement
to component.

In addition to copper alloy products, we also manufacture machine parts, welding machine components and welding fixtures from aluminium and various aluminium alloys. Our aluminium welding machine components mainly include various types of welding gun arms, robot arms and positioning components for welding tables. Our range also includes aluminium mounting plates, brackets and structures supporting spot and seam welding. Aluminium welding machine components are attracting growing interest from domestic appliance manufacturers and the automotive industry, where lightweight, strong construction contributes to equipment efficiency and durability.

Aluminium alloys, commonly referred to as duralumin, are often used to manufacture these components because of their low weight, high mechanical strength, good electrical conductivity and relatively high corrosion resistance. These properties make aluminium alloys widely used in modern resistance welding systems, where both durability and reduced component weight are important.

Aluminium alloys can be classified into several basic groups according to their physical properties:

  • EN AW 2017 / PN PA6 – a structural material with medium density. It has low chemical resistance and is susceptible to intergranular corrosion. It also exhibits little deformation during heat treatment. It is mainly used to manufacture machine components subjected to dynamic stresses and casting moulds.
  • EN AW 5083 / PN PA13 – a material with medium strength and very good resistance to corrosion and chemicals. It is widely used in machine construction, welded structures and moulds for foam and rubber components. It is one of the most commonly chosen materials for industrial applications where durability is important.
  • EN AW 5754 / PN PA11 – offers very good corrosion resistance, high chemical resistance and high formability in the soft condition. It is mainly used in welded structures, water tanks, pipes, partitions and components requiring a high degree of material flexibility.
  • EN AW 7075 / PN PA9 – a high-strength material with low corrosion resistance. It has moderate machinability and is unsuitable for welding. Its properties make it suitable for the automotive, aerospace and shipbuilding industries, particularly where high mechanical strength is important.

Among the aluminium alloys most commonly used to manufacture aluminium welding machine components are the aluminium-copper alloy EN AW-2017A (AlCu4MgSi(A)) and the aluminium-zinc alloy EN AW-7075 (AlZn5.5MgCu). Their combination of low weight and strength makes them well suited to industrial environments requiring precision, reliability and durability. Our experience in aluminium machining enables us to fulfil even the most demanding orders while maintaining the highest quality of aluminium welding machine components.

Parts and applications

Resistance welding machine and robot arms, table locating components, mounting plates, brackets and resistance welding fixture parts. Applications include the automotive and domestic appliance industries.

EN AW 2017 / PN PA6

A structural alloy used for dynamically loaded machine parts and casting moulds. Its corrosion resistance is limited; we take this into account when selecting the material.

EN AW 5083 / PN PA13

An alloy with medium strength and good corrosion resistance. Used in machine construction, welded structures and moulds for foams and rubber components.

EN AW 5754 / PN PA11

Good corrosion resistance and formability in the soft condition. Applications include welded structures, tanks, pipes and partitions.

EN AW 7075 / PN PA9

An alloy with high mechanical strength and limited corrosion resistance. According to the company's material description, it is not intended for welding.

Alloys for resistance welding machine components

Frequently used grades include EN AW-2017A — AlCu4MgSi(A) and EN AW-7075 — AlZn5.5MgCu. The material and delivery condition are agreed for each part.
