What are cookies used for?
Cookies are small pieces of information stored in your browser. This version of the website uses them to support form security and remember that the cookie notice has been closed. We do not activate analytics or advertising cookies.
Form security
When the form is initialized, the server may create a PHPSESSID session. It associates the form with protection against unauthorized submissions and helps limit abuse. The cookie contains a session identifier, not the enquiry text or attachments. It uses HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict; on HTTPS connections it is sent with the Secure attribute.
Remembering this notice
When you select “Understood” or close the information panel, we store metalcon_cookie_notice with the value 1 for 180 days. This prevents the notice from appearing on every page. The record does not constitute consent to advertising or analytics. The cookie applies to the current domain, with Path=/ and SameSite=Lax, and the Secure attribute on HTTPS.
Browser controls
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session may prevent you from submitting the form. Deleting or blocking the notice cookie may cause the notice to appear again. The “Cookie settings” control in the footer always lets you reopen this information; it does not disable the form security measures.
